NVIDIA GPU is the most popular brand on PCs Steam gamers, currently 58%, is long established.
But AMD countered recently with a company Jon Peddie Research report, which shows that he is the most powerful graphics solutions market name.
It is estimated that there are currently 717 million gaming systems in the world, which means PC (desktop and laptop) and consoles. According to the company, 409 million of these systems use AMD graphics cards, in no small part because the company won contracts for Xbox One and Playstation 4 (and Pro). Furthermore, Intel is No. 2, with about 164 users, meaning 23%, while Nvidia close podium, with 164 million customers representing 20%.
Unfortunately, this dominance has helped AMD to have revenues 11% higher this year compared to 2015 but Nvidia has charged 54% more than in the same period. A little surprising, given that only 24% of gamers using Steam AMD, and contracts for consoles have, in all likelihood very low profit margin.
